Who we are
The FuelByMe application (hereinafter: application) is operated and provided by VemSoft Műszaki-fejlesztő és Szolgáltató Kft. (registered office: 1043 Budapest, Csányi László utca 34.; company registration number: 01-09-071642; tax number: 10446678-2-41; hereinafter: Service Provider).
In order to use the service, the user (hereinafter: User) is required to provide certain personal data to the Service Provider. The Service Provider handles this data confidentially, in full compliance with applicable legislation, and exclusively for the purpose of providing the given service and operating the application. The Service Provider processes data in accordance with this Privacy Policy, in full compliance with Act CXII of 2011 on the Right to Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, and Act CVIII of 2001 on Certain Issues of Electronic Commerce Services and Information Society Services.
The Service Provider is committed to protecting the personal data of its Users and places particular importance on respecting the right to informational self-determination. Personal data is handled confidentially, and all necessary security, technical and organisational measures are taken to guarantee data security.
Downloading the application and providing personal data is entirely voluntary. The User accepts responsibility for ensuring that the download was carried out voluntarily and with adequate information. The accuracy of the data provided is the sole responsibility of the person submitting it. In light of this, the Service Provider bears no responsibility for any inaccuracy in the content of the data provided.
Purpose of data processing
Use of the location and information services of the FuelByMe application by the User.
Legal basis for data processing
The User’s consent pursuant to Section 5(1)(a) of Act CXII of 2011 on the Right to Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, and Section 13/A(3) of Act CVIII of 2001 on Certain Issues of Electronic Commerce Services and Information Society Services.
Scope of data processed
The User’s GPS coordinates for the purpose of displaying the distance to petrol stations.
Photos taken within the application are used for reporting issues.
Data generated by the User’s mobile device during use of the service, which is automatically recorded by the Service Provider’s system as a result of technical processes.
By using the FuelByMe application in an Android environment, the User consents to the Service Provider collecting anonymous statistics on the opening of certain application functions and the duration of their use. The User’s GPS coordinates are used solely for the basic functions of the application and are not stored by the Service Provider. Personal data is not linked to usage parameters.
Duration of data processing
The Service Provider processes data for the duration of the registration. In the event of unlawful or misleading use of personal data, or in the event of a criminal act or system attack by the User, the data controller is entitled to delete the User’s data immediately. In the event of suspicion of a criminal offence or civil liability, the data controller is entitled to retain the data for the duration of the proceedings.
Access to data
In addition to the User, only the Service Provider’s employees may access the processed personal data, to the extent necessary for the operation of the application and the service. Data is processed by the Service Provider and is not made accessible to third parties.
By downloading the application, the User consents to the Service Provider combining the processed data for statistical and informational purposes in the interest of the efficient operation of the system. The Service Provider declares that the combined data does not constitute personal data, as it cannot be used to re-establish a connection with the data subject. The combined data is not disclosed to third parties in any form and is accessible only to the Service Provider’s employees. This provision does not apply where the Service Provider complies with a request based on an official authority decision or other official channel.
The User does not consent to the public disclosure of their personal data. The User may at any time request information about the processing of their data, its method, content, duration, location, and any activity related to data processing, and may notify the Service Provider of any changes to their data at any time.
The User may withdraw this consent at any time. Deleting the application constitutes withdrawal of consent. The User may delete their registration and associated data from the FuelByMe application using the Profile / User / Delete function.
The User may enforce their rights under Act CXII of 2011 and Act IV of 1959 (Civil Code) before a court, and may also seek assistance from the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (1122 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/C) in any matter relating to personal data. Any comments regarding data processing may be submitted to the Service Provider at the following email address: information@vemsoft.hu
The Service Provider shall delete personal data upon request by the data subject, when the purpose of data processing has ceased, when the statutory retention period has expired, or when ordered to do so by a court or other authority.
The application may contain links to websites operated by third parties. The Service Provider has no control over the content of such websites and accepts no responsibility for them.
If you are unable to fully accept this Privacy Policy or have any reservations regarding it, please do not download the application, or delete it if already installed.
Data transfer declaration
I acknowledge that VemSoft Műszaki-fejlesztő és Szolgáltató Kft. (registered office: 1043 Budapest, Csányi László utca 34.; company registration number: 01-09-071642; tax number: 10446678-2-41; hereinafter: Service Provider), as data controller, will transfer the following personal data stored in the www.fuelbyme.com user database to OTP Mobil Kft. as data processor. The scope of data transferred by the data controller is as follows:
The User’s name.
The User’s email address.
Data generated by the User’s mobile device during use of the service, which is automatically recorded by the Service Provider’s system as a result of technical processes.
